New Zealand China Free Trade Agreement Roadshow
To help you maximise your China market potential, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, with relevant government agencies, are holding a series of interactive two-day workshops throughout the country.
This is your chance to learn about:
- The content and impact of the free trade agreeement from the people who negotiated and helped construct it
- How to do business in China from people who have already faced the challenge.
Day One covers the content of the FTA and the impact on your business, with detailed presentations from the negotiating agencies about the impact on specific sectors. Day One is particularly relevant to those already operating in China, or investigating China opportunities.
Day Two covers some of the challenges of doing business in China, introducing ways companies can build capability to make the most of the FTA. This is an ideal opportunity for New Zealand based staff to learn about China without international travel. Day Two is particularly relevant to those who want to know more about operating in and engaging with China, regardless of the level of China experience.
Both days will provide excellent networking and business collaboration opportunities.
Key speakers include:
- David Walker – New Zealand China Free Trade Agreement Lead Negotiator
(Day One) - Officials who were involved directly in the negotiations (Day One)
- New Zealand companies with China experience (both days)
- China Trade Commissioners and senior NZTE staff (both days)
The New Zealand China Free Trade Agreement Roadshow is proudly supported by Wellington Regional Chamber of Commerce, Auckland Chamber of Commerce, Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce, Waikato Chamber of Commerce, and Otago Chamber of Commerce.
